π How to Create and Send a California WDO Report
1. Get Started
Select your California WDO template, optionally adjust the title or introduction, choose your customer, and click Continue.
2. Create and Add Findings to the Drawing
You can create or edit the drawing at any step by clicking Create Drawing or Edit Drawing.
To add findings:
Click Toggle Findings (magnifying glass icon)
Select Add Finding
Fill out the finding details:
Section, Category, and Location
Title(s) (pre-configured options; multiple allowed)
Description (edit if needed and choose whether changes apply once or throughout the proposal)
Primary Recommendation (optional secondary can also be added)
Add inspection photos
You can:
Link the finding to an existing line item, or
Enter a pricing description if no line items exist
Upload photos (file upload on desktop, camera/gallery on mobile)
To place the finding, click the finding label (e.g., β2Aβ) and position it on the drawing.

Repeat as needed, then click Save/Insert in the upper right hand corner to save your drawing and findings.
3. Add Service Plans & Pricing
Add or confirm your service plans and line items (e.g., fumigation, wood repair).
π΅ To adjust pricing:
Click the three dots β Edit Line Item
π To associate findings:
Click the gear icon β and select the related finding(s)
Control how customers see the treatment options:
Enable Allow customer to toggle pricing options
Use icons to set behavior:
Filled star = Recommended (pre-selected)
Empty star = Optional
Lock icon = Required (commonly used for the WDO inspection fee)
You can also group multiple items using Combine Pricing Options (associate findings first before combining).
4. Complete the WDO Form Questions
Fill out the required fields (many are pre-filled).
Make any needed edits and click Save and Continue.
Note: Report numbers are automatically generated and will increase with each new report.
5. Review & Preview
Make final adjustments:
Cover header
Service plan descriptions
Additional inspection photos
Click Save and Preview button to review the full WDO report and proposal, including findings, photos, and notes.
6. Preview the Report/Proposal and Send
Review the report and proposal and ensure everything looks correct. Then click Send Proposal in the upper right corner to proceed to the next step of sending the report to the customer.
You can also:
Record a walkthrough or inspection video
Have the customer accept and sign in person
β Completing a California WDO - Notice of Completion
1. Select the Accepted Cali WDO Report and Proposal
Navigate to Proposals > View Proposals
Click in to your accepted Cali WDO report
You can only start a Notice of Completion on an accepted Cali WDO report/proposal.
2. Start the Notice of Completion Form
Click the dropdown arrow in the upper right hand corner
Click Start Notice of Completion
3. Complete the Notice of Completion Form
Fill out the Notice of Completion form questions
Many items will be pre-filled in accordance with the Cali WDO report
Once complete, click Save & Continue in the upper right corner
4. Review the Notice of Completion
The Notice of Completion will appear on the accepted proposal as an Addendum
This is the last step and you can close out of the proposal
