Decline Reasons

Purpose

Decline reasons help capture why users or customers reject proposals. This feedback:

  • Highlights gaps or weaknesses in our offerings

  • Informs data-driven improvements

  • Promotes transparency by surfacing user concerns

Overall, decline reasons provide context that helps align our offerings with customer needs.


Creating Decline Reasons

When adding a decline reason, the following is required:

  • Title – Must be:

    • Unique – Cannot duplicate an existing decline reason

    • Descriptive – Clearly explains the reason without additional context

Rules

  • Rules apply per company within Smarter Launch and do not carry across companies

  • No Duplicates – The system prevents adding decline reasons that already exist

Example: If “Price too high” already exists, it cannot be added again.
