Searching, Filtering, and Interacting with Proposals

In this article you'll learn about the proposal list view, how to interact with your proposals, and what filtering/searching options are available

Proposal List View

The proposal list view allows you to see all of your proposals, their status, and several columns of helpful data. This is also where you can search, filter, and export your proposals. This view is available to all user access roles, but depending on your role you may be limited in which proposals you see.

To access the proposal list view, go to Proposals > View Proposals in the left navigation pane

Searching for Proposals

To search for proposals, use the search bar at the top of the proposal list view. You can search by address, customer name, email, or template name/title.

Setting Filters in the Proposal List View

The proposal filter option allows you to narrow down the list of proposals you are viewing and/or helps you narrow down your proposal search results.

Resetting the Proposal List View Filter

If you are having a difficult time finding a proposal, or you want to clear out any filter adjustments you have made, you can reset your filter by click the Filter Reset Button in the upper right (circle button with a circular arrow) or by clicking Reset Filter while in the filter feature.

Available Filtering Options

You can filter proposals in the following ways:

  • Status

  • Archived status

  • Date range (including custom date ranges)

    • Default is Last 30 Days

  • Date created or date modified

  • Location

  • Team

  • Template

  • Assigned team member

  • Proposal type

  • Referral team member

  • Tag

You can also exclude expired proposals from your view

Tip: you can export your filtered proposals to CSV by clicking the Export button in the upper right of the proposal list view.

Editing Columns in Proposal List View

To add, remove, or arrange your columns in the proposal list view click the Columns Button in the upper right (three bars icon)

You can toggle columns on or off, and rearrange the order in which they appear in the proposal list view. Filter settings and column settings are set at a per user level and will not affect team members globally.

Proposal Overview

To access the proposal overview, click on a Sent, Accepted, or Declined proposal from the proposal overview. From here, you can see a proposals activity, proposal details, toggle on/off automations, download PDFs, edit the proposal, and more.

📄 Proposal Overview Details

In the proposal overview, you can see all of the details about the proposal including internal notes, pricing, agreements, photos, drawings, etc...

📝 Proposal Activity Log

To see the activity log of a proposal, click the Activity Log icon in the upper right while in proposal overview. This is the best place to see a timeline/log of what has happened on a proposal including when it was sent, accepted, CRM integration activity, email delivery status, sync failures/successes, etc...

Tip: if you click the plus button while in the activity log, you can create custom logs or add a reminder.

➡️ Sharing/Re-Sending a Proposal

While in the proposal overview, click the Share Icon in the upper right. From there you can re-send/share the proposal with the original recipient or someone new. You can also access the proposal URL from this feature.

♻️ Toggling Automations on/off for a Specific Proposal

In the proposal overview, you can toggle automation on/off for a specific proposal. Maybe you don't want a customer follow up going out for one of your proposals, this would be the best place to make that adjustment.

You can also force run an automation for a specific proposal by clicking the play button next to the automation.

📎 Download the Proposal PDF, Work Order, or Refreshing the PDF

In the proposal overview, you have multiple PDF options, including:

  • Downloading the proposal PDF

  • Downloading the work order PDF

    • This is a more stripped down version of the proposal PDF, perfect for handing to a technician

  • Refresh the proposal PDF

    • This is primarily a troubleshooting tool to make sure all elements of the proposal have made their way to the PDF. Typically used in troubleshooting.

👀 Preview or Edit your Proposal

While in the proposal overview, you can preview or edit your proposal by clicking either option in the upper right. Click the dropdown next to preview proposal to edit it.
