Adding Customers to Proposals

🔢 Methods for Adding Customers to Proposals

There are three methods for adding customers to proposals:

  1. Search for them via in Smarter Launch to see if they are already available

  2. Search directly in to your connected CRM (FieldRoutes, PestPac, etc...)

  3. Manually add/create a new customer

👀 Searching for a Customer that is Already in Smarter Launch

A customer may already be in your Smarter Launch account if they previously had a proposal sent to them or if your CRM brings in some of your customers automatically (CRM dependent)

Click the search bar on step one of proposal creation and search for your customer by name, address, email, or phone number (we recommend address or email).

⤵️ Importing a Customer from your CRM

If your CRM is connected to Smarter Launch, you can import them by clicking the dropdown next to the customer search and click the CRM direct search button (e.g. Search in FieldRoutes)

After clicking the CRM search button, you will be taken to a window to search for the customer directly from your CRM.

Depending on your CRM, this search window may look different and may have more or less search options depending on what is available in their API for searching.

Search via whichever customer attributes are available > select the correct customer > then click Import

Once you have imported the customer, you can also edit them if necessary and sync those changes back to your CRM by clicking the dropdown and click on the CRM sync button (e.g. Sync with FieldRoutes)

➕ Manually Adding a Customer to Smarter Launch

To manually add a customer to Smarter Launch, click the Create New Customer Button while in proposal creation (to the right of the search dropdown).

Customers can also be added in the Customers Tab but you must have the correct access role to do so (Manager or Owner access role)

Important Note: If you are connected to a CRM, this will also add the newly created customer to your CRM. This will occur right when you send the proposal or when the proposal is accepted, depending on your integration settings.

It will check for a match, but may create a duplicate in your CRM if there isn't a close enough match.
